Saint Louis Science Center Annual Report
Situation
The Saint Louis Science Center is recognized as one of the top
five science centers in the nation and among the top 25 most
visited museums. As host of the highly recognized international
Cheltenham Science Festival and regional host for the
50th Anniversary of NASA, the Science Center needed to
build awareness among local philanthropic organizations and the
scientific and research community.
Goal
Build a brand strategy and communications plan for philanthropic
and development needs.
Strategy
Brand the Annual Report, Major Gifts materials and donor
cultivation and communications to complement existing Science
Center branding. Focus on high impact feature activities emblematic
of the organization's leadership on the national and international
stage. Differentiate the philanthropic brand from the highly retail
orientation of the museum. Focus on community benefits, education
and corporate research partnerships in the local scientific and
medical communities.
Impact
Consistent, powerful high-image presentation of the
accomplishments and vision of the Foundation. Better awareness in
the scientific community, and strengthened board appreciation for
and active involvement in the mission.
