Ascension Health/Symphony
Situation
Ascension Health is an extensive system of Health Ministries in
more than 500 locations in 20 states and the District of Columbia.
The 2010 Systemwide introduction of a new information technology
platform and a shared services center for Finance, Supply Chain and
Human Resources required a multi-platform communications plan for
various targeted audiences.
Goal
Meet new market challenges created by national healthcare
reform, increasing competition, continuing economic uncertainty,
rising healthcare costs and growing demand for healthcare
professionals. Create awareness and buy-in of new technologies for
broad audiences including the following:
- 107,000 Associates;
- 30,000 Physicians and clinicians;
- Executive leadership and managers; and
- Board members.
Strategy
Influence management and leaders to maximize acceptance, support
organizational and strategic directions, and implement
organizational community model during transition. Create
internal communications strategies including the following:
- Six-month deployment plan designed for alpha site;
- Targeted audience impact communications map;
- 137 tactical communications events designed to reach all
internal audiences; and
- Media - video, print and digital solutions.
